Art and Fashion and Pizza

Yes. It's true, they all go together!
I will have some of my art work featured on the side of a (stationary) mobile pizza truck for Gallery Night tomorrow...Streetza Pizza from Milwaukee, to be exact. They will be parked in front of Lela Boutique, 321 North Broadway in the Third Ward, from 6-10 pm. Check it out if you can! (otherwise, I'll take some photos)

You can find more information about this very creative fusion of pizza, art and fashion here.

Mountain

Bird-feeders, lovingly constructed by me. 5 hours of love, it took me. Each one has some kind of sparkly hot-glue on it too, all different colors (used for its adhering properties, and its panache).
80 bird-feeders, coming right up...

Close (Sneaky) Encounters II

Two 'illegal' photos from the Kohler Arts Center, American Story exhibit (and I have many, sneaky, more shots, that place was vast). Anyway, it was my first trip there, and I enjoyed it immensely. I loveloveloved the bathrooms too, each a work of art, in its own right.

So, in keeping with my deer theme, the officially requested birthday event shot...

I had just turned 34 years old, and my present to myself this year, was seeing a blind outsider artist's found objects pieces at the Kohler. That's impressive enough for me. Incredible work....

Circles!

So here we are, finally. This is one weeks worth of circle studies, I think it's from about 2 weeks ago...I'll get caught up eventually.
As a side note, 161 (from further down) is no where to be found now. I lost it a week ago and it is GONEGONE! I looked everywhere, and waited for it to just turn up, but it hasn't. So, that evil olive may have to be replaced with something else if I never find it. I am not someone whom loses things either...really chaps my hide, ruins my whole system of one per day!
Anyway, enjoy this bunch...

still painting, not posting....

I have become so busy this summer with RAA kid's programming and other related gallery stuff, that I am not finding the time to scan in seven paintings per week. I am thinking of instead, doing a bi-weekly post, 14 paintings at a time. However I am still behind this week on that (clearly). Hopefully when I get home tonight, or tomorrow morning, I can get something up for y'all.
I miss my blog!

Published!

One of my paintings is going to be published in a book in the United Kingdom. (a book with pages made out of paper....exciting!) So yeah, whenever that gets done, I will be in "An Expression Of Depression" put out by Vagabond Press (also affiliated with Little Episodes) I'd show you the piece, but they now have exclusive publishing rights to that particular image. (That's also kind of exciting to me, for some reason. See you when I see you, 'Self-Portrait 2006'.)

Proceeds for the sales of this book go to a UK-based charity MIND, that benefits those with mental health issues. My piece specifically dealt with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder....which I am just now starting to get a handle on in my life.

I really hope that people will be able to get more help with this offering...and of course, woohoooo!
