With a Capital T

That stands for 'Trouble'...
It's not really so serious, but I'm in a creative funk right now. I am annoyed with the weekly circles, but that just means I have to try more things, I suppose. I feel I have exhausted my abilities, but that I must keep making them. It was all a part of the deal I struck with myself.
Other than that, I'm having trouble getting a grip on my next figurative piece. The words I chose are not resonating with me personally, so I assume I should move on and find something else for right now. I believe I spent a solid two weeks thinking on the words, and it's just not coming.
These paintings I will not force, unlike the circles. However, the circles are technique only, and they take little to no thought for me....and so I pushpushpush.

And on that note, more circles should be up later tonight.

Sorry to hear you're in a funk. It's tough. My entire last year was that, and I've finally gotten out of it. It just takes time I suppose, but it's no less frustrating. You'll pull out of it eventually and hopefully sooner rather than later. Like you said, if you're not feeling the words, don't use them. Move on until something strikes you.

oh man, i could not deal with a whole year of funk...
yeah, those word pieces are way harder for me, in general. if i don't feel them now, i will eventually.
thanks heather.

Yes, Funk happens! And when it does, it seems like the only thing one can do is to ride it out. I think that, especially in the case of prolific artists such as yourself (and I include myself), that it comes from over exertion. I really believe that the mind needs a break now and then - especially when you put so much of yourself into your work......

thanks for the comment. i think that i DO need a break on the word pieces for now. i think i need to be wordless for a bit and just feel stuff out.

wordless.

like a baby with no words, communication is still possible. search for other ways to say what you are needing to say. interesting.
